Shave-Satasat!!

"Oh God why do I have to shave everyday L gets so boring” these are the common words I have always been hearing from my brother and they continue to be audible from my hubby too.
But yet they land up shaving!! I believe they all prone to the clean shaved face which they love to carry and flaunt!!
Personally I also feel a clean shaved face gives you a fresh look and also shines your personality.
If you are blessed with dimples, a clean shave face would portray them more prominently!!
In my opinion, the stubble is generally associated to the gloomy side of a person. I maybe wrong, as many guys flaunt the stubble tagging themselves to be dude and YO personality. But in my college days a friend with a stubble is always designated as DEVDAS-- “Kya Devdas banke baitha hai.. dadhi kyu nahi kiya J” (Why are you staying like a heart broken lover, why haven’t you shaved J)
An opportunity missed!
If it’s an interview for MNC and you just enter the interview room with stubble. It’s certain the interviewer panel doesn’t frame a very great first impression about you. Despite of a friend being present in the panel things won’t favor you dude!!
This situation is what my brother dealt some months back. Due to some rashes on his face he could not shave and he missed to crack the interview.

Love is in the AIR!!

Girl + Boy è Friendship
Girlfriend + Boyfriendè Love!!!
Girl parents + Boyfriend == First Meet =èTension J
But a tucked- in shirt along with a clean shave can work wonders JJ
That’s what happened when my Mr. Hubby was called at my pace for first time by my Dad!!
A clean face surely marks a good impression and gets you a tag of neat and tidy. (At least on the look front. No one knows how clean your room or drawers would beJ)
On a personal view: Guys with clean shaven face surely look more charming and become stars at any party or functions. So all you lads out there pick the razor up and do –Satatsat J

Road Safety Annual Meet-2014

Agenda
Introduction of members
NSDF –A brief Introduction
2015 Resolutions
The final Word

Lets began…..
The round table conference is all set. Members are here to give their introduction and start the meeting:
SeatBelt
Hello All! I am the most popular seat belt. When we talk about road safety, we talk about cars and drivers. No driver should start the car before wearing me. It’s a Golden rule!!
But most of the people take advantage of secluded places where they cannot be encountered by traffic cops and ignore using me. But nah nah.. don’t do that.

Don’t you wear a waist belt if your jeans I lose? Just to avoid the embarrassment that it might start lowering in public :)

Then why can’t you wear a seat belt while driving just to avoid the accidents and safeguard your own precious life.

It takes only a few seconds to buckle up once you get in the car. Why wouldn’t you?

Helmet:
Hello everyone!! It’s me the Helmet.. I protect the most important part of your body-The Brain!!
X% of the accidents today occurs due to rash driving of motorbikes. Motorbikes themselves are not completely safe since your body is exposed to external vehicles and you might lose balancing due to road and weather conditions.

If you happen to gobble from your bike wearing me, you might just land up having few bruises on your body and recover soon. Since your head was safe. Image yourself bumping into a heavy vehicle of concrete wall without head protection.

If you are bald and fond of hair.. What would you do? Won’t you wear a wig? Especially you will never forget your wig while attending your parties and functions. Then why not me?
You like to hide your skull in public but you don’t safeguard your skull in public!!

Traffic Signal
Hello beautiful people!! It’s me-the tricolour gadget, stamped on almost every corner of the road.
Imagine your roads without me. All would want to go in all directions and bump into each other. Total chaos and no sense of driving and no discipline.
Well I enforce discipline in your driving. So follow me dude or see a traffic cop following you J
Breaking a signal is not only a crime but you would also land up in a situation where you can be bumped by vehicles coming from different directions since they would not expect any one breaking the signal.
As a boyfriend -Wont you wait for your love mate to signal you (when their house is empty) or would you just bump into her home and find her father opening the door for you!! JJ
I not only signal the vehicles’ but also the pedestrians when to move. Please do not cross when I show a stop person signal. This means there are vehicles moving and it’s still time for you to cross the road.

Foot Path
A warm hello from me!!! I am a close friend of pedestrians. I am their safe zone. If they use me its a guarantee they would not meet any accidents on the road!
Sign Board
Hello people!! Please stop by and have a look. That's all I have to say. I don't need any introduction, my signs say it all. Follow them properly and you are surely on the safe path
Zebra Crossing
No no , Zebra is not crossing the road, it my name Zebra crossing- I look like zebra. Black & white stripes you see :)
When the signal goes you a green go, walk over me to avoid accidents.

NISSAN SAFETY DRIVING FORUM -NSDF- What is it all about?

The Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., conducts the Nissan Safety Driving Forum (NSDF) in India as part of its safety driving promotion activities. The program began as an annual activity in 2012. In its initial phase it covered three main Indian cities – New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai – and since then has gradually expanded to several additional cities across India.
This year, NSDF would reach 8 new cities – Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Jaipur, Vadodara, Nagpur, Chennai, Mangalore and Kochi. The overall reach and engagement levels have phenomenally grown and NSDF has effectively reached close to 2 lakh citizens. It continues to stay committed to its core objective of promoting safe driving behaviour in India.
Compared to the previous year, NSDF has witnessed an impressive 126% growth in the sensitisation of wearing seatbelts. In addition, NSDF also conducts live simulated experiences to understand how safety features function through a simulated car crash. A 360-degree turn over highlights the use of seatbelts, while sessions on road safety emphasises on road etiquette to stay safe.
Under its Blue Citizenship CSR umbrella, NSDF by Nissan works to build awareness of safe driving in India. NSDF encourages drivers and passengers to wear seatbelts, and participants learn through interactive activities the importance of wearing seatbelts.

Nissan seeks to support reducing fatalities and injuries caused by traffic accidents, and NSDF represents the company's commitment in contributing to young, vibrant and mobile India.

Globetrotter With Airbnb!!!

We all love travelling... I am sure!!! But what if you land up in a home from home... confused!!

Enter the world of "Airbnb"--a trusted community marketplace for people to list, discover, and book unique accommodations around the world — online or from a mobile phone

I was so amazed when i logged in. They provide just beautiful accommodations, unlike the regular hotel rooms that we book.

They have varied options in:

  • Bungalow
  • Private room
  • shared accommodation
I would definitely love to visit below parts of the world and enjoy stay with Airbnb.

Bali

The amazing beach in Indonesia. Every one knows Bali is famous for the same.
And when you check out below rooms by Airbnb, your stay would be even more beautiful!!

Kashmir:

Paradise of the world!!"Agar duniya mein kahin jannat hai to-yahi hai, yahi hai" :)

Snow claded mountains, valleys beautiful flowers and much more. What else could you ask for to cut off from this fast moving world and work stress!!

Enjoy the stay at houseboats... A entirely out of the world experience.

Switzerland:

I wish to visit Switzerland for magnificent mountain scenery, magical snowy landscapes, countlessattractions in the snow and the ultimate in winter nostalgia!!
The most romantic place that ever exists!! Just waiting to go there. to revive memories of watching my fav movie-DDLJ(whose most of the scenes were shot in Switzerland)

Below is the view from the room that I have selected. Isn't it totally bliss!!

Bora Bora

Bora Bora may feel worlds away, but this South Seas splendor is well within reach. Where is Bora Bora, exactly? The island lies just northwest of Tahiti, less than an hour away by plane from Papeete.
More than just a romantic ideal, Bora Bora is a romantic reality. It comes as no surprise that the island is an internationally acclaimed honeymoon destination.

The wonderful thing about Bora Bora is that you can be as active or inactive as you wish to be. Should you decide to venture away from the resort, you can visit the main village of Vaitape and shop at the local boutiques or dine at one of Bora Bora's restaurants including Mai Kai Bora Bora, La Villa Mahana, or the legendary Bloody Mary's. You can also explore Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu on a guided hike or Jeep Safari tour.

Since water is a way of life on the island, popular lagoon excursions include snorkeling, diving, cruising, fishing, paddle boarding, kitesurfing, Jet Skiing, and of course, shark and ray feeding. You can also take your experience to new heights by parasailing, skydiving, or touring the island by helicopter.

Greece:

Its said --Experience endless miles of aquamarine coastline, sun-bleached ancient ruins, strong feta and stronger ouzo. The Greek landscape thrills, and Greek people are passionate about politics, coffee, art and gossiping

I wish to satisfy Your Senses with the Greece that I've been imagining, whether it’s through the pulsing nightclubs of Mykonos or the solemnity of Meteora; the grandeur of Delphi or the earthiness of Metsovo; the rugged Cretan hillsides and the lush wildflowers of spring.

It’s easy to understand how so many myths of gods and giants originated in this vast and varied landscape, with wide open skies and a sea speckled with islands, where days melt from one to the next, while we relish the white-sand and palm-fringed beaches

And with below apartments from airbnb, stay would be even more fun!!

Book Review-"God is a Gamer"

When I got this book, I wasn’t too keen to read it, I had never read a thriller novel by an Indian writer and been extremely content at the end. Nor had I read any of Ravi Subramanian’s other books which would have probably made me aware of his writing style.

This book is focused around the idea of Bitcoins, the virtual currency in the online world. Coupled with a series of interwoven plots of gaming industry, a Bank (He is a finance guy J), A US Senator and some aspects from the criminal world, God is a Banker keeps you glued to the plot. I finished God is a Gamer much sooner than I had assumed.

All I knew about the book was that it revolved around the virtual world of ‘bitcoins’ and was the first book to do so. Looking at the book and the back cover synopsis, it was not very clear what the story is about, although the tagline ‘Is revenge a crime?’ build up the curiosity and eagerness to read about the crimes and revenges.

There were a few places in the beginning when I felt there were too many characters in too many sub-stories being thrown out at the reader at the same time and had to go back a couple of times to check who was who. Well this could be avoided if you read it at a stretchJ

What I particularly liked about the writing style was that Subramanian has not just made mere mentions of real people, place, institution and corporate names including the US President, but has researched them carefully and has written about them in detail. Nothing seems to be forcefully present. While reading the book you clearly have the sense that it has not been written by someone who is well-experienced and knows lot of stuff from the finance perspective. And how such things happen behind the scenes.

There is also love story involved and few love making scenes. But not sure were they really required to move the plot ahead. Maybe some things you have in corporate. Just to make it more interesting to the readers.

Not much details are mentioned on what is bit coin mining- How does new bit coins come into system, how to buy them from real cash or how to convert bit coin back to real currency

All said and done, it’s a quite interesting thriller and a recommend book for all!!

Signed copy sent by blogadda...loved it!!!

Bolega INDIA..Tabhi toh aage badhega INDIA!!!

This post is written for #AbMontuBolega
http://www.abmontubolega.com is a campaign by Strepsils. ( Facebook and Twitter)

Does only your home require cleaning? Think about it! Isn't India our larger home and we all have some duties towards keeping it clean and green. When we can clean our homes cant we all get together and clean our own beautiful country? Certainly we can.

#AbMontuBolega campaign tells you not to be a silent spectator. Raise your voice and make a difference. Just don't go with the flow even when you think the flow is not going right.

Check out Montu's video here. I am sure many of can relate to it. There are many a times we avoid raising our voices and share our opinions. What we think just resides in our minds and does not pop out. Montu is subsided right from the time he is a kid. First his parents, than friends, girlfriend and finally the boss. Every time he has a word people just ignore him and he has no other option but to be quite. But finally he realizes "Bin bole ab nahi chalega"(it wont working without speaking now)
He pops a strepsils and conveys his message quite confidently and strongly:)
Its a wonderful video and message is conveyed to us in a very simple and smart way. There is certainly a poitn in life where we just need to keep out foot down and raise our voice up.

We all want India to progress. We all want it to be a developed country and not a developing country. Than we as responsible citizens of India should get together and work towards this mission. The very most topic where India lags behind some developed nation would be cleanliness. We have talented youth, amazing farming, rich hermitage, diversified culture, values and much more...
Than why not clean roads? Are we so weak at infrastructure? Not really. We have best of mechanical and civil staff. But what matters is maintenance of such infrastructure.

While we all feel like contributing towards "SwachBharat" abhiyan, how much of it did we actually do? Clean up India is not a one time activity. It just does not happen one sunday morning when we wake up take a mop and walk down the streets cleaning away some paper garbage or dried leaves. Its actually a continuous process and should happen daily.
How many of us have encountered the below:

Its a 100% hand raise.right? All of us pass by such dirty brown saliva spots in our daily walk across the place.Would we like the walls of our homes in such a condition? Than why do we allow people to dirty walls of out nation!!

Why cant we stop it. If we find any one spitting we should raise our voice. Stop him.Tell him would he like this dirt in his home?
Some possible actions every Indian can take:
  • Embarrass the spitter in public
  • Take his address and promise him we would land there with tons of garbage to dirty his home :)
  • Ask him to get a water bottle and clean up the mess he just made.
  • Get a pan/gutkha and spit it back on his clothes..(Give him a run for his home to change over:))
Above bullet points sound and seem funny!! Maybe? or maybe not!! Have we ever tried it? Have we ever taken charge to stop these spitters who make the white all red!!
Lets do it than........There are places that need cleaning, people who deserve your attention & authorities who need to hear your opinions!

We know that raising our voices against all that is dirty in our country is a power that we all have. Let’s exercise the power of our voice & work towards a Swach Bharat

So next time you find your rickshaw-wala spitting on road, spat him back!!!

Play and Win!! Get lucky!!

My personal opinion on video games- time pass or rather waste of time. The moment you get hooked up to a video game you just don't want to leave it till you clear each stage and move higher.

So I personally don't play any games as it makes me forget all my work lined up for the day :)

But what if you play and win,you just don't clear a stage but earn amazing prizes that would just make your life more happy!!Luxurious Holidays and huge cash prizes to be won!!

Fat Cat Gaming comes up with such a concept -Lucky 6.

Installing the game was very easy.Just need to log in and start playing.

(P.S :Below are the snapshots taken from my own mobile after installing the app)

This is how you start :

1. Create a account, log in and select select six brands of their preference every day, a ticket     gets created under your account.

2. Check your score

3. If those six brands stocks perform the best for that day the gamer gets points and he is         the Lucky one!!.

4. Cherry on Icing-SHARE!!! Sharing with your friends increases your chances of winning.         And the best part is... even if they win, you still win!
Since the game is so much fun and the jackpots so big, your friends will thank you for           turning them onto Fat Cat

This gaming app launches in India. India has the biggest youth population and who are more attracted to such mobile games and apps.India is would surely prove a good choice.

A business that can scale very easily... starting in India, then Latin America, China and beyond. An opportunity where potential return on investment is immense

This is surely a revolution!! Traditional lottery replaced by just few clicks on your mobile :)

I feel its really worth a try. As it is there is no loss involved!! A few selections and la you are done.

cheers

Nursery rhymes-your toddler times best friend!!

Two most memorable aspects of childhood: Nursery rhymes and Grandma’s bedtime stories J

Some rhymes are definitely very special and dear to us whose memories are embedded in our brains right from the time we actually didn't know what rhymes actual mean.

Baa Baa black sheep:

I am from a Gujarati family, where we address our grand moms as “Baa”. I remember when I was a kid and if I had to call my grandmother or if someone asked me to call her, I used to say- “Baa,Baa”-Black sheep J (used to call out her name twice not once just to fit it in the poem phrase.. lol)

Not  knowing what it really meant!! But yes family around me used to have a hearty laugh.

Now when I look back it surely gives me a super smile J

Twinkle Twinkle

This is an old time classic!! I am sure favorite amongst all the toddlers and so easy to say it with actions!

Be it a family function, party or a wedding. I remember very faintly that I used to gather a small crowd and start singing-
“Twinke Twinkle little star,How I wonder what you are?”

Up above the world so high- ( During this line I force all of them to look up at the sky J..hahaha to check out some twinkling stars)

Like a diamond in the sky!! (making a diamond by joining 2 thumbs and index finger of  hands)

It was super fun to recite all the poems taught by elders or teachers.Today's tech-savvy world has given a whole range of rhymes with animations.Kids love to see these videos and enjoy the poems with actions and cartoon animation.

One such super range is by t-series- KidsHut

My 1.5 yrs old daughter enjoys every video from these!!! :):)
